I'm loving my new vantage point, which this morning put me on a level with the Areca palm and its tendrils, all backlit.

I've got to learn that those tendrils are. I suppose I could just watch carefully and see what they turn into, unless they are already what they're supposed to be.

For some reason, typing "what they're supposed to be" put me in mind of a couple of lines from one of Ruth's poems: "because nothing is another thing / or a puppy of our thoughts"  ("Humus," which can be found in Woman With Crows).
