It's a sunny morning in Hilo. I walked around outside and didn't see anything interesting for a long time. Then I thought maybe I could do something with a trio of kukui nuts on the small tree in the Zen garden, which I could have, but then I saw these little kukui blossoms.
What's amusing about this image is that the background is the shadow under the eaves first, then the roof, then the sky. With it all out of focus it could be anywhere, anything. But no. It's a shot of kukui flowers with the house as a background.
