I noticed this shot yesterday, and I'm glad I did. It's been raining hard for two days now, and I was hoping that I wouldn't have to get all rain-caped up (the camera, I mean, not me) and roam the wet yard looking for a shot.

Knowing in advance what I'd be doing, I set up the camera on the focusing rail and connected the remote release and even set the tripod height inside, and then waited for a break in the rain. When one came, I went out and got the shot. I did have to use a slower shutter speed than I wanted to, and therefore the ant up by the leaf ribs isn't sharp.
