As it happens, the 1,500th Hilo Daily Image is an external one. I needed to be up as high on Mauna Loa as I could go (just over 11,000') to get some Mauna Kea shots for the observatories' website, and to be there fairly early in the morning. So I decided to make the HDI up there. This is Hualalai, with Mauna Loa in the foreground.
Tomorrow it's back to Wailuku Drive shots.
