Where

With only rare exceptions, this is where all the Hilo Daily Images are made -- the house in which I grew up, in the Pi'ihonua neighborhood of Hilo, Hawai'i. The house was built in 1931; our family moved into it in 1946, when I was very young.

 

The property is about an acre, and has plantings that date from the early 1940s to the present.
